Unlocking the Genetic Secrets Within: How Our Thoughts Shape Gene Expression


The idea that our thoughts and mental state can influence our gene expression is an emerging field of study known as "epigenetics" and "psychoneuroimmunology." Epigenetics refers to changes in gene expression or cellular phenotype that do not involve changes to the underlying DNA sequence but are instead influenced by external and environmental factors, including our thoughts and mental states.

Here's how thoughts and mental states can influence gene expression:


Stress and the Mind-Body Connection

Psychological stress, such as chronic stress or trauma, can activate the body's stress response system, including the release of stress hormones like cortisol.
